May be a stupid question but what does the button at the back of Ayrtek helmets do?

One is an air release valve and the bigger one is the actual air pump for the liner inside to inflate to the wearer's head shape/size.

you push it in mate like a pump and the air goes around the little modulas in the helmet infalting them so you get a good comfort fit.
There a nozzle at the side of the button/pump to deflate all you do is press it in...
