Got these through the post from Choppy last week - posted quickly and well packaged.
On to the shoe........
It's hard to review the shoe fully without using it in a match and having spent only a couple of hours wearing them in. However, i will make a few comments regarding the quality and build of the shoe.
I will start with a negative aspect - i think the insole is rubbish and could wear away very quickly. I have taken photos of them and as you can see - it's full of holes. In my mind, once you start wearing away the insole it wont last long and as a fast (ish) bowler, i know that i wear away the insoles rather quickly. On another note - spare asics insoles simply do not exist!
Positive aspects - Lightweight shoe, ideal for long days in the field. Despite the weird insole, it does feel well cushioned and comfortable around the heel (hopefully it wont rub like the advance 2's).
Design is rather cutting edge, might not be everybodys cup of tea but if you cant make a statement through your ability, make a statement with your shoes!
The P-Guard on the front of the shoe seems rather robust - i like this as i know that my front foot has worn away areas in some of my older shoes.
Anyway - not much more to say. I will endeavour to a follow-up review once the season comes around. If anything, it might give a few pictures of the shoe from different angles!
