Redback grades
« on: March 14, 2011, 09:37:05 AM »

I`m thinking of buying a Redback bat for the new season but I`m on a budget following a shoulder operation and being self employed this will affect how much I have to spend. Can anyone tell me how much the quality differs between the Premium, Premier and Performance bats ?. I am obviously looking for the cheapest option but not at the expense of too mch quality. I have never used a Redback and wold love to hear from anyone who can vouch for their performance.

They are Gary's own grades

Performance is sort of seconds, top grade bats with imperfections or pressing cracks

His bats are very good, I've got one as my current match bat and it seems to be getting better and better,

I've currently got another two on their way from a different maker but on the exact profile of the redback

Great bats.
I have had three. If it was not for a wondering eye i would quite happily only buy Redbacks. I prefer the surefire profile with the slighly higher middle

I have a Paradox which is a top top bat, with a cracking, long and responsive middle :) - As RoCo suggested, e-mailing Gary direct would result in a good idea of the grading. You can always pick up a bargain grade 2 if you are not fussed about looks and concerned more about performance! ;)

Thans Johan, I`ve e-mailed Gary today so should soon have an answer to my question. Redbacks really do seem to get a good response though.

I ordered one a while back and it tooks 2 months to arrive due to various issues, anyway it WAS worth the wait, I have barely knocked it in Gary said it was a pro stick he sent, I got friends to give me light throw downs in the nets and the ball flies off the middle, i mean absolutely flies off it, i used it in a game and had a great time with it, im using my usual match bat until this beauty is really knocked in as I know it's going to be one o f the best ive had in a while and I buy bats from most brands, Salix, Screaming cat, newberry, SS, Allsorts but this middle is amazing
