It is just so frustrating. Man for man we beat them with the exception of Gayle and possibly Roach. I believe them when they say they are tired but I don't think it is tiredness in a physical sense. More that they have been away since November and I can imagine that the novelty of touring has well and truely gone away. It also can't help that they are having to jump on a plane every few days due to the sheer size of the area they are playing in now.

It doesn't excuse it, but I get the impression they are one fed up bunch of people probably sick of the sight of each other.

See simple were full of excuses. Lovely.
Must be nice for the Aussies to go home between games, unwind, see loved ones. Of course it makes absolutely no difference at all, living out of a suitcase for 5 months.

Im happy to be proved wrong, but for me this is a match now for 4 players come the second innings.

Pollard and Gayle WI - They could take the game totally away from us.
Tredwell and Swann - The pitch is begining to look dusty with nice foot holes, we have a shout.

I would love Tremlett to bowl the way he can, but not sure if he can do enough on his own.

So remind me whose decision was it for us to have it organised this way? Were the ECB not involved in this?

We can blame it on being tired all we want, Its poor preperation, leading to a poor performance. The players have got to take a significant part of the responsibility for that.

If not bring on the WC being played in England, otherwise we will not be taking part.

Oh and does living out of a suitcase take responsibility for 24 wides given to Bangladesh, or that sloppy run out?

Going to take a gamble and predict a 250 from England. Not a total collapse so im maintaining some faith.

ECB / Cricket Australia and Money. Smacks of greed. 7 ODI's involving travelling to every point of Australia and Sydney twice over 3/4 weeks?

When you are tired you make mistakes, happens in every walk of life in every job.

Dont get me wrong, I agree it has an impact. However I dont believe it has such an impact that we bowl so badly against Ireland, Netherlands and Bangladesh. Even India I felt our bowling was poor.  Yet we raised our game vs SA.

Still I feel Wrights given us a platform to actually get a result here. Unless its just a sign its really a 300 pitch.

England don't know how to use Powerplays and then don't use them properly.

Our tailend batting, even oputside of powerplays, seems to come down to slog and swing. Our tailenders don't seem to try and play "cricket shots" and score runs sensibly, which I am sure they are capable of doing. I know the aim of the powerplay is to score runs quickly with big hits, but surely it's better to score runs steadily at 1 or 2 a ball, keeping things ticking over, even in a powerplay, if you aren't a six-hitter, and not get out, rather than swing at 4 out of six balls, edge one for four and then get out on the fifth?

Or maybe I'm just old fashioned?
