Will South Africa roll over ?
« on: March 18, 2011, 02:01:37 PM »

After England managed to overcome The Windies in yet another thrilling game, am I the only person who thinks we might be heading for a big anti climax tomorrow. I wouldnt be at all suprised if South Africa take the foot right off the gas and roll over against Bangladesh ensuring that England go out of the tournament. Dont forget we have already beaten them and must be seen as a potential threat despite our erratic form so far. What do you think ?

That wouldn't ensure England went out of the tournament.  For England to go out would require both Bangladesh to beat South Africa, and West Indies to beat India.  If one of those doesn't happen then England are in the QFs.

I think the SA's may take the foot off the gas, but I still think they will have enough. Certain players may get rested, but they will want to build momentum and losing isn't good for that.

Ye of course I was forgetting The Windies also have to beat India, and they looked totally dejected after losing to England. However I still think The Saffas might just take it as a stroll in the park.

Well they will want to win every game as they want to get rid of the tag of chokers
they will rest players but I think they will still win very convincingly

I hope you`re right. I still think they will choke on the big one.

Ok ok I`m sorry for even suggesting The Saffas might throw this game. Fair play to them. I`m still thinking they will choke when it matters though.

Looks as though we are through to quarters! Not definite but the fat lady is warming her voice up!
But whether we get any further is unlikely!!

The way we are playing it would be no suprise if we got murdered in the quarter finals whoever we play. But by the same token we could even go on to win the thing. We are so inconsistant and have been involved in all the best matches.

And most of that pressure is brought on by ourselves.

And she's warming up her voice and doing the la-la-la scales!

But to be fair are def not rolling over!!
In fact they tend to play better when there in no pressure on them.

when you see a team as poor as this youve gotta wonder how they have test status ahead of ireland.

the fact the england lost to them does not bode well! but we seem to bring it for the big teams, a good sign
