Somerset v Worcestershire 100 over friendly.
« on: March 24, 2011, 10:24:52 PM »

I went to this today, a nice day out and took a few pictures,

Mitchell batted very well, must be his new Jacket....

Him edging and out caught behind for 63,

Gareth Andrew scaring Nick Compton,

G Man bowling,

A couple of technique issues for Buzz,

And finally a painful lesson in defence,

Damn those Bradburys are something else. He was hitting them when they were only halfway down!

Which camera gear Mike, out of interest?

I was thinking of going tomorrow. Might not be worth the petrol as Somerset only need 105 runs to win.

Camera gear? Have not a clue, it is a Canon and belongs to the wife....

It is a 100 Over match so they will play all day tomorrow Liam, worth a trip, bring a seat....

Halfway, 500D EOS, with a 300mm lens, and a shaky hand.....

Usually only works on horses but smuggled it out today....

And there was you pretending to know nothing.

Good shots, would have been a different story if it had been cloudy.

Tres looked very calm,

This little chap looked good in the nets, only just 4 and despite his coach played a lot of attacking shots including off drives off the back foot....

Not sure about the Dilscoop with eyes closed....

But when Steve Rhodes told him he was a very good talent he explained that no one hit the stumps because he played straight, he then shadowed a few shots to prove this. I had to point out that he needed to impress Andy Hurry and so he ran off....

No, he can't afford one at the moment.... Will tell you tomorrow what Treg's said to him about his bat, his reply was "you are a poo poo man" and ran off....
