did it change the outcome of the game tho?

it gain and lost nothing just one ball?

it was a gamble u lot may think he looked stupid but i dont think omg swan u (No Swearing Please) i think what ever floats ur boat swanny

Impossible to say whether it had an effect onthe outcome, losing a wicket is about more than just plus 1 in the wickets column though, as everyone who's played will know.

Also seems odd to have Look Right in there and not send him out to have a slog in the powerplay, I thought that was pretty much all he was in there to do other than field and bowl if someone gets injured/bowls like Anderson.

I think it was correct to send Swann in at 6, but a few sighters wouldn't have gone a miss. Swann is capable for whacking the ball and a quick 20-30 would've pushed the game away from the Lankans.

Just look at Sanga's body language at the end of England's innings, rather concerned look on his face.

Final point, Murali looks a shadow of his old self. He bowled very poorly today. When do you ever see Murali going at a run a ball in Coloumbo?

I can't believe some people are complaining about Trott!! If he doesn't stay we'd collapse...

I wasn't complaining about him, he's good at what he does, just recognising the fact that we don't want him batting in the powerplay if possible as he just isn't any use there at all.

Really England should have taken the BPP in the 16th over, forced KS to either back his lesser bowlers with the field up, or use some of Malinga's overs up early on meaning he had less to bowl at the death. I presume it was considered but written off in the hope we could exploit it in a more orthadox manner.

i agree jeet, but for me, jos buttler isn't ready yet
If he has a good season for SCCC, I wouldn't mind him getting a few games for England in the tail end of the English summer

England need a more innovative wicketkeeping batsman for the end of the innings like Jos Buttler. Prior is too correct in his stroke play

I doubt you have seen enough of Buttler to give that opinion though Jeet

thisis where we lack putting the bad ball away we hit 4 boundaries in our 1st 30 overs or something silly!

trott going steady eddy is great but needs to be scoring quicker for my liking at the same time

England's main issue was not using their feet to the spinners. They allowed the Lankans to dictate terms. England seem obsessed with the sweep shot. They gotta use their feet to put doubt into the bowlers mind
