Not really his fault is it though.

I'd hardly say RR is the main issue at the moment.

Bizarre to leave out Ashwin as he's a brilliant bowler but solid with the bat.

Since Sehwag and Gambhir got out boundries are not coming. Sachin has to hit boundries to ease pressure on the new batsmen.

I also had him in my fantasy team, so I'm furious.

Seriously, I do think they could be left regretting leaving him out though, especially as Nehra is very average at best.

Considering the wickets have been falling at regular intervals, Sachin's strike rate of 83% is not bad at all.

As I said though, RR was still up around 5.5, could easily afford a few quieter overs to let someone get set. I'd rather that than have a set batsman take more risks than required in the middle overs, having 2 new batsmen in at once would have been far worse.

If Sachin is still batting in 10 overs then India would have a great platform and post a good score.
If he departs now there will be the inevitable collapse. Dhoni owes the team a long overdue 50 plus.
