South African "B" Team
« on: March 29, 2011, 09:33:31 AM »

I thought it would be amusing to see if we can come up with the best possible England qualified team made from SA imports.

So far I have done ok - but wanted to see what you guys have, no spinners irritatingly...

1. Stephen Moore
2. strauss
3. trott
4. Pietersen
5. prior
6. Michael lumb (also thanks Reds)
7. kieswetter
8. Neil Carter (Thanks reds)
9. Charl Willoughby, Alfonso Thomas or Zander De Bruyn (Thanks Talisman)
10. Durnbatch
11. Meaker

Great now in selection dilemma territory... pick your side now!!

Strauss is a bit dodgy, born there but spent nearly all his life in england.

Who's that guy who got called up to the WC ODI Squad?

Isn't Ten Doeschate SA (and England qualified) but has turned down the chance to play for England, one would assume with the hope of playing for SA at some point?

decent batting - need some bowlers now... - Ian as RTD is playing for holland and as we have loads of batsman, I wont pick him - but good shout

please can we come up with some more bowlers!! or do SA bowlers realise that the hard fast bouncy home wickets are better than or juicy green tops...

Michael Lumb added - thanks Reds

Not many of them would get into the SA team at their current batting positions. SA top 4 is too strong!

Correct. Good bowler, watched him at Surrey although at times he seemed a bit wayward. Makes up for it with a great slower ball :)

ie. Correct - *Dernbach

Strauss moved to England when he was 6, and he lived in Melbourne prior to that!
