Im flying to Brisbane in 3 month, to play for Valley District Cricket club, for the next season.
One of Queenslands biggest clubs, with over 1100 members and 50 teams and im looking very much forward to try the aussie cricket..
A Working Holiday is the right Visa for that kind of things.

to work in bars in aus i think you need to go on a  hospitality course( google it and im sure u can find out). unless its just the club bar then im not too sure it will matter. as for flights go on expedia or somewhere like that. ive flown malaysian who were pretty good and qantas. plenty of options to get there. as most people are on a budget go for the cheapest that suits you. although i havent had experience with most of the other airlines im sure they are pretty much the same. obviously you get your bad service horror stories but i bet you get them on most of them.

I play in the Victorian Sub District Cricket Association (VSDCA) which is the second highest league in Victoria and we always have players from England come out and play with us. So if any of you are of that standard and are looking to play high grade cricket in Australia send me a pm and if it is not with my club I can point you to another club.

Queensland Premier Grade Comp is where it's at. We had a couple of UK lads come over to our club and numerous others went to other clubs in our comp.

You will be playing against my club/me (depending on what grade's we play). I play for Western Suburbs District Cricket Club (Qld). We won the club championship (Best Club across all grades) 3 years in a row in: 2008, 2009 and 2010 and we just missed out last season, 2011, and came second. It would have been a record if we had of won 4 in a row but just missed out. So I like to think we are the best club, lol. Didn't help that we missed 6 games due to rain and the floodings during the 10/11 season.

But Valley's improved alot last season and I have a few mate's who play for them. I have no doubt that you will enjoy it. Look forward to possibly playing against you.

Yeah I live in Brisbane.

I have played for Wests (used to play in the Ipswich league for Juniour's) for 2 years and last year was really a yo-yo between 2's, 3's and 4's. So I hope I'm consistantly up next season.

Looks like I may play you.
