Dhoni....
« on: April 02, 2011, 05:23:08 PM »

Does anybody else think he has an awful batting technique? Yer he can hit the ball but as for technique it leaves a lot to be desired....

This is only my opinion tho

There's plenty of guys who have perfect techniques but they lack mental strength.

Dhoni is the opposite

Are you still of the opinion that he should be replaced as captain as you stated a couple of weeks ago?

I think we can become a bit technique obsessed in this country sometimes. After all it is not how, but how many!

I was sitting next to someone I know very well when watching this. He's quite old now, but used to be a gun opener at my club and was furious with Dhoni's technique. It's unorthodox, but my it gets the job done.
Agree with this though:

No better time for Dhoni to hand over the reigns. 2 time WC winning captain(1xT20 & 1x50over). His legacy is secure.

Careful Jon he even likes Harbijan now
Wouldn't go that far Dave

Gambhir is a good call, as he's captain of Delhi in the Ranji trophy. If MSD wants to stay on, then Kolhi should be groomed as next captain.

Sreesanth.

How about making Sreesanth and Harbhajan joint captains?
