Stats only tell you so much which is why I don't go to just them as if you go by stats there are people with better averages than sachin but I still think he is the best bat ever

I love how so far, most people's opinions of the best openeing partnerships have included the Hayden/Langer and Hayden/Gilchrist. Yet the only person mentioning Indian partnerships is Jeet.

All I'm saying is that Gilchrist went out there and set the platform for Australia, whereas Dhoni has tendaulker, Sehwag, Kholi, Singh to set he platfor for him, so all he has to do is come in and get his 20-40 odd and end up not out.
I'm guessing you where dropped on your head when you where born. I didn't say Dhoni was the better opener. In a world XI both would play. Dhoni at 7 and Gilly at 1. Its not rocket science.

So cos Dhoni has good players infront of him he can slog 20 not out? Is that the same for Hussey aswell? Cos Ponting, Watson, Clarke normally set a platform

Get Badrinath into the Test side. The guy scores runs for fun yet is never selected

Mate, I'm just being realistic, but I assume that you are Indian so you wont listen to reason.

You were saying that Dhoni was the better option out of him and Gilchrist, which is actually a pretty funny joke. Actually it's the oppostie with Hussey, he often comes in and rescues his team so get a clue. There is no way in hell that Dhoni would get into a world XI team as a batsmen, not a chance mate!

I like sanga but would not burden him with the gloves as bats better without the gloves or so the stats say ;)
