Tarpaulin covers

Has anyone got any ideas of how you could stick or tape two sheets of tarpaulin together and what to use?

Gaffer tape as a temp fix.We have 2 tarpaulin sheets and just apply tape when they are in place. When we take them off, we remove the tape. For £50 for sheets and a bit of gaffer tape, the covers have lasted 2 seasons so far and they even cover 2 wickets wide :-)
