Our second team opening bowler took 8 wickets for 9 runs yesterday. Also one player scored 195 off 77 balls in our league. Was a small ground but still good effort.

story of my season 16 hit 2 spanking shots after a while off drive & drive through midwicket, then picked out cover with another drive off the outside half of the bat.

12.1-0-115-6. Not seen too many figures like that before Ian!

Some seriously high scores in the WEPL this year, my 153 didn't make it into the top 10 batting performances :(

I was gonna mention that, I'd hate figures like that I reckon! 6 wickets, irrelevant when you go at nearly 10 an over and you get smashed for 377 off your team's overs...

Awful umpiring in our game yesterday...

Umpire gives out our opener LBW, he was pretty far down the track and it was missing leg stump (According to the opposition wikcet keeper it was an "awful decision"). A few balls later I went on the back foot to a spinner and inside edged onto my pad infront of all three a few players appealed and I was shocked to see the umpire raise his finger again! Thankfully as I went to walk off the opposition slips and keeper called me back and withdrew the appeal. Not that it did much good as I got out caught at cover two balls later, without trying to make excuses it was in the back of my mind DO NOT GET HIT ON THE PADS!

I'd suggest looking to play in a higher level next year, doesn't seem like much of a challenge.

Congratulations, very good set of stats that. I wish I'd top a thousand runs in a season one of these days... never seem to progress past 500, then again I am an all rounder  :D

We won our game yesterday to do our part and seal promotion, the team on top of the table then got beat by peplows bunch leaving us to take the title!!!

Good times all round and a fair few beers to celebrate
