Mattw, just a tad too far :( I'm in West Somerset.....

I believe so mate, normally we're struggling for players because of the tail end of the football season but due to the dry winter, the season is finished and we have most people available.

Damn... Just annoys me how we are near enough the only team in our league who are not starting friendlies tomorrow!

Hey Matt just noticed you play against Halesowen I have a few mate who play for them and may be popping up that way thus summer to see them as not far away from you lot

I played 2nds cup game last sunday, fielded well, opened the batting only got 6 :/
LBW to some fat **** who bowled slow right arm

Sussex Martlets first game for school this yr. should be a good side (lots of premier league guys warming up for season)

Thought I would bring attention to this topics as another one was made, perhaps merge them? ???
Anyway I had a great start yesterday. Kept well (17 byes, but it was a small ground so 4 4s rolled down a hill about 20 metres :( ), so that's really 5 mistakes and on a normal ground about 5 runs..
And batting, though we lost I came in at 30-3 and scored 72, only person into double figures and we got 155 I think it was :) 12 4s and a 6 - it was a small ground so about 4 4s were timed into a short fence, but otherwise I went for the long straight boundary and the leg side boundaries at one end..which were longer. Six was a huge backfoot drive though, was chuffed as it was their captain who was a bit of a (No Swearing Please) and said we weren't doing anything when number ten was leaving wide balls..so I just pumped him into the tennis courts next over hahaa :D

How did everyone else go? Got a game today..hopefully I can keep it up :)

Possibly, I don't know those guys. I know the Tromans as they play for the team I play for in mid-week.

Played first sunday league game yesterday against the team the finished second in the division last year, lost unfortunatley but managed 58 with the bat which was a great start to the season and will hopefully roll on into next saturday when the real test starts.

Not a great start. Got 21 Saturday and 3 yesterday and 8-1-24-1 bowling Sunday.

Nice stumping on Saturday though :)

Played for our 1sts yesterday and came in a 9 due to me being a 2nd team player.  Came in with 6 overs to go and got myself a quickfire 29 not out and a catch.

Thats probably it for the season now!
