Not a great debut for my club, we were bowled out for 83. i got 8, chopped one on to my stumps off a spinner. Made a fight of it but lost by 5 wickets. Bad start to the season!

but we got 104 on a 200+ wicket and they got it with 5 down
and apparently its going to rain tomorrow

Bowled them out 121, I went for 9-4-20-3, 12 off my first over too! All out 111 in reply, I scored 15 at number 9, went in at 70-7 with 10 overs left, no real hope for me to be fair!

Managed to defend 132 today. I came in at number 5 with 20 overs left and the score on 73 so tried picking it up a bit, unsuccessfully. I got 13 before being bowled but had a partnership of 31 in 5 overs which kinda helped.
We bowled the other team out for 117 and I chipped in with the last wicket and figures of 4.4-0-14-1 so not a bad time in the field but a swollen knee to show for it.
We won so can't really complain. I have to look to Fattus for inspiration and turn into a 'proper batsman' again and stop slogging.

Another dull game for us - we got 268-5 off 45 overs on a very low, slow deck and bowled them out for 25.
I'm going for the league record of not batting and bowling in a game, racked up 2 so far :-)

Nah, added a comment. I just stand at mid wicket and direct traffic :-)
Got another 2 or 3 divisions to knock off before we meet decent oppo on a regular basis.

go up as champions without dropping a point. Dropped 1 point last year and we still aren't happy about it, had the oppo 9 down.

Why you in such a crap league
3 years ago we played friendlies only. Having one 14 out of 15 one season we decided to try league cricket and joined the Leeds West Riding League. They promised we would start in Division 3 but put us in Division 1. We still finished 3rd.
The Leeds West Riding folded and we joined the Wetherby League. Despite our performances they said we had to start in the bottom division and work our way up. In the meantime we strengthened our team and spent most of last season laying waste to Division 6. The Wetherby League did briefly think about fast tracking us an extra division but worried what existing clubs would think higher up and the senior cricket guy thought we might find the step up more testing. We haven't but we have 20 more weeks of dicking on teams for fun before we have another step up next season.

That sounds crap as a one sided game is no fun we did that a few times in our league bowling a side out for 36 then knocking them off in 8 overs after starting at 2 then finished for 4 was no fun really but great to get in the beer early
