Played our first Headingley & District T20 game today. Though I wasn't playing, I was looking forward to it, before a moment of panic on the way to the game, Started thinking, they play 5+ Divisions higher and a different league above us, they have a proper overseas and 3 teams etc. I was praying we wouldn't get stuffed out of sight. I need not of worried, a faultless catching display with decent some seam bowling and we shot them out for 78, winning by 4 wickets. Margin should've been wider but we lost a few wickets having been 50-2. A bit of a giant killing, though we are alot better than the level we play at.

Had a 'thanks for coming' yesterday, next man in with the batting, played about 4 overs in the field, then dislocated my little finger. Bugger. Doctor says out for 3 weeks or so, I say I'm available for next week. We'll see how it goes!

Not the best of starts for me or my team and the old confidence has taking a blow, played 2 lost 2 and both teams we beat easily twice each last season. Not managed to score a run yet in both games bowled second ball first game around the legs ? never ever happened to me in 30 years so work that out and only faced 3 balls second game but smashed it to every fielder but wasn't out. Bowling 0 for 20 off 13 overs which was OK but no wickets then 2 for 40 off 12 overs but bowled very very very well and fairly quick.

I'm batting at 3 on Saturday so only one way to sort this out, I'm certinly not going to let it continue under any circumstances !

Excellent, bet your team are pretty pleased with that.

18 off 10 balls last night opening and seeing it well....then got run out.  Still we won our first game after gaining promotion last season so we were pleased about that.

yeah, they play in a league where paying players and overseas are commonplace, but we play alot of T20 cricket. They tried to smack everything and just gave catching practise. We play enough to know that a boundary an over plus a few scampered singles keeps things ticking over and you don't have to slog all the time. Think we'll surprise a few more teams as well. Simmy played for us as well as our regular keeper is struggling to play evenings.

Dislocated my finger whilst fielding on Wednesday in a midweek match. Brilliant. Out for 7 days or so!

Averaging 52.4 in all cricket after the first 8 games. Despite scoring 18, 21 and 13 in my last three innings! About time I scored some runs in the league though!
