We won a really tight game today.
Batted first, we were in a hole when I came in at about 70-4 (demoted myself to 6 - despite the choice of opening...) and I got to 11, with no problems...
Hit 2 stonking pulls :D
But then played a (No Swearing Please) stupid shot and managed to get bowled for only the 4th time this year :( - so annoyed with myself as number 7 then went on to make 57.
I could say the ball kept a bit low, but it was a bad choice of shot to pull again, as the ball was not as short as I thought and kissed the deck...

Lovely ground though at Buckhurst Hill... :D
Kept OK though, 12 byes..a few too many for my liking - I would have preferred to keep the byes in single figures or even under 5.
Was very sluggish down leg-side at first >:( which was annoying but I stepped it up as I started to stand up to every bowler - think out of their 38 overs I stood up for 30 lol!
Managed to get a couple of ridiculous diving takes down the leg-side and a cheeky stumping (their keeper which made it better...) 8)
Unfortunately missed a leg-side stumping, so there are still things to work on but my keeping is getting much better which I am pleased about.

Anyway we posted 191 and bowled them out for 175 with 4 overs remaining in their innings (20 from 6:30...)
Top game played in a good spirit, despite their chatterbox young lad, who then came out and made a dog-ugly 8...
Talked a good game but he couldn't back it up haha :)

Finally a weekend without losing one game - the first for a while for me...  :-[

Haha I got a bit carried away, that was a really good match tbh and a lovely ground at that :D
Pleasure to play there, shame I didn't cash in and get to 50 or even a 100... :(
Oh well...  :-[

Btw you should see my proper match reports for my club, they're ridiculous... ;)

Yeah it was a fantastic little ground, I didn't really speak to the groundsman but he seemed alright. Just really disappointed I was lazy and not concentrating when I batted...

Recorded only our 3rd league win of the season. Maximum 15 points, batting first. Only made 160 with everyone chipping in, myself made 25 before succumbing to a leading edge trying to work a straight delivery.

Bowled our opposition out for 93 within 38 overs. They had  Kiwi international Jamie How playing for them, but managed to get him out cheaply alongside their league legend (scored over 10,000 league runs) and County opening batsmen. Good team effort. Our opening bowler coming back into his second spell blew away their last 5 batsmen for around 10 runs!

Gutted to lose our QF tonight. Due to poor light the umpires said we'd play 16 overs a side.

We batted first and got 84 in our 16 overs, we didn't take enough singles which would come back to haunt us. I got 7 off 6 balls before being caught at long off in the last over.

they got 85 in 15.4 overs with one of their players getting double figures (53) to rub it in he used to play for us and plays with Tom on Sundays.

I got two catches in the field as well so personally didn't do too badly, but gutted we didn't win. I'll support YMCA from now on.

Awful game today... Reduced the touring team oppo (Surrey Championship Side) who had a fair share of first teamers to 207-9 from 40 overs. And after being 97-0, we collapsed to 181 all out. I was first out for 64 but it means nothing when you lose the game :(

Also had a geeky count of all my stats this year:

In all cricket- 1192 runs in 35 innings, 172 fours and 46 sixes. At an average of 34.05. 13 wickets and 12 catches :)

East Molesey? I think thats how you spell it! They were OK but a lot of their players thought they were much better than they were!

Not the nicest bunch to be honest :S

And yeah I think the Indian played but didn't keep. He got 30 odd and apparently he is the 1st team skipper...
