Top game of cricket today.
We bowled first restricted the oppo to 254-7 in 47.1 overs (bit much in a time game but oh well... 8) ) and in reply we only got 36 overs.
No problem though as we managed to chase them with 2 balls to spare.
I came in 6 and chipped in with 4 not out (was more of a runner anyway as I was always running to the danger end haha!).
Great game of cricket though :D

Got called upto the 1sts as the 2nds didn't have a game today(9 teams in division so some weeks you have no game) we batted first and got a massive 286-2 off our 45 overs(Average for our league is about 200 off 45). We defended it and they finished on 236-6 off their 45(Not alot in the pitch for the bowlers).

I took 1 wicket and went at about 6 an over, so overall it went alright. Both teams have a game next week so will have to decide if I stay with the 1sts and enjoy the more competitive higher division or go back down to the 2nd's and try to help them out of Relegation.

Scored my first league 100 today for the Saturday side iv played for since a wee lad.

Got a midweek one the other week in a T20 but I don't count that...100 off of 63 balls today at #4. Batted with my bro and put on a 152 partnership with him,  he finished on 97*...he'll never hit a 6!!!

Won by 110 runs in the end after bowling them out for 174 chasing 284.

Playing for my 1st's today we got 271 ao off 47ovs on a road against a very poor bowling side with me getting my first adult 50 batting at 8 with 4 decent size sixes and denting a car door.

Unfortunately they got the runs in the 52nd over which was a bit disappointing and i opened the bowling and bowled like a drain as well which wasn't helpful.

Bit of a mixed bag of a day but somewhat happy.

Congratulations mate. I have come to the unfortunate conclusion that I am at best a brainless cricketer, at worst a brainless human being, but I dont really want to talk about it here. Professional therapy and a good sports psych is what I need after todays performance.

Congratulations mate - we beat top of the table side today!!  Bowled them out for 170 and I bagged 5-64 from my 13 overs, and knocked them off for 4 so I wasnt needed to bat.  Happy days...

Won our first league game since May today! Finally won a toss, knocked them over for 98 and got the runs 4 wickets down. I didn't even have to bat myself which is very rare.

First match back after the baby - a very scratchy 35 in a losing cause - They got 203 and we were all out for 180.

I got 30 felt good to get a few for a change, things have been improving in the last few innings hopefully big one will be here soon.  we posted 182 all out had the oppo 12-5 but they then finished on 159-9.

Easy 6 points for us today as the oppo cried off while we were travelling to the game. Turned around, got a disposable bbq, beers and watched the 3rd v 4th battle. Didn't learn much as both teams played some pretty average cricket but it was a good afternoon in the sun :-)

Absolutely mauled yesterday. They got 296-3 in 49 overs. 2 guys got hundreds and I dropped one when he was on about 25. Simple chance at point that was a clanger. Fielded like a drain in the outfield in the end at times (probably cause I was running from square leg/point to square leg/point...LH/RH combo...).

In reply their openers bowled quite well and we were 24-7. 5 of the top 7 made ducks.
I got 5 with one 4 through the covers but got done by a beauty of an inswinging yorker I was told.
Didn't really like the team though, they really fancied themselves and some of them were chirping just cause they were winning without having done anything.

We closed on 157 all out - number 8 hit 36 and number 9 murdered a stunning 79 :D
Still 138 runs short and a humiliation. :( >:(
