Woodworm Softs
« on: April 25, 2011, 08:13:50 AM »

I have recently bought new woodworm softs for the new season and i must say i am quite impressed.
I had not player cricket for 20 years until last year and i bought cheap to see how i got on, Big mistake i ended up with a broken thumb after getting it trapped against the bat from a quick. So i went for the Black Label Woodworm range.
The pads are awesome very light ( well compared to what i have tried ) they are 900gms a pad and really comfortable. They are faced with Evo Foam and have no cane inserts, When the ball hits you on the pad it just drops where it is and you hardly feel it. The instill confidence and are very easy to run with.

The gloves are also excellent . They are light 310 gms for the pair. Very well made and strong they have Premium Carbon Fibre digital WR100X Pittards leather . Movement in the gloves is fantastic and i have been hit on the hand from a quick bouncer and the protection was awesome , very very impressed.

Thanks for looking

Pete

Pete, those ww softs look very nice! Its always worth spending that extra bit of cash for better protection as you found out to the cost of a broken thumb with cheaper equipment...ouch!!! Hope the new pads and gloves serve you well.

Well your entitled to your opinion.
I think they are brilliant and worth the money, all the guys down the club think they are great too.
But hey if we were all the same life would be boring
