Kookaburra Knocking In >:(
« on: April 29, 2011, 09:26:30 PM »

I bought a Kookaburra Big Kahuna two weeks ago, used Owzat Oil initially and have used a mallet since for an hour or two daily and used it for some throw downs today. Even after two weeks of knocking in I still have seam marks on the blade. Any kook users here for advice on how long I need to knock it coz its doing the wife's head in  ;) ;) ;)

Knock it more, pay a youngen at your club to do it, works for me, and no one gets peed off with the noise.

Is it playing well.

If it is put a scuff sheet on if you do not have one one already get a good quality one and make sure the edges and toe are done then just use it mate might be a soft blade nothing more..

I used a bat recently that marked to hell did not crakc just dints and seam marks..

Apparently not according to rob pack. Asked him about knocking in when I bought my blueroom. Give it some around the edges and toe to round them off a lil and just apply a scuff and finish "playing in"
