My dads old bat..... a laminate..
« on: May 02, 2011, 03:55:33 PM »

My dad's been up in the loft today and bought down a couple of his old bats. One of them is an SS Jumbo! As in Stuart Surridge. He bought this bat in the 1980's for £100.

He asked me to put a grip on it and when doing I noticed join down through the shoulders. I had originally seen this in the toe and thought it was just a lami-toe. But on closer inspection I can see the join the whole way down the bat, it just blends in as the wood is dark.

Here are a few pictures of it with mine to compare.

Tell your Dad that as its an old bat, you'll take it off his hands for £20.  ;)

How much do they go for? Can't find any on ebay?

It also only has a single spring handle
