Blister on hands from batting
« on: May 03, 2011, 06:59:52 PM »

Any advice on how to stop blisters on upper half of right index finger.. the area is directly across from tip of thumb.
I know I'm getting it from the bat moving against the glove when I play a shot.
The thing is its ripping the leather on the glove and eventually ripping my skin which makes gripping the bat a lot harder...

Any advice on how to stop this?

padded inner mate, although you may have to buy bigger gloves to accomodate them

Thanks may try that.

Bought regular batting inners so will see if that works if not will go for padded ones.

What kind of grip are you using? Octopus grips usually are rough on gloves/hands, just rip them to shreds. Try using a softer grip (spiral?)

tape up your finger slightly? don't bat for so long?

but ultimately, you will need to buy a new bat ;)

I'm using a snake style on one bat and the other is a kookaburra hybrid half octopus/half rib style
