A little trip to the local
« on: May 05, 2011, 03:10:56 PM »

Went for a little trip to the local cricket shop to buy some pads and after a fair bit of time in the shop talking to the owner about bats and players I went with there new pro pads which I am very happy with they are light with huge amounts of padding which I always look for in protection  :-[
The pads include a removable inner to be used as close fielding pads and all at a good price :D
IF you are in the area I would defiantly pop in as there bats are very nice but as any good business man he would not revile who is bat maker is :( The bats are very good for £100 and £150 nice big bats with good grains, the gloves where very good (tempted me a bit  :-[ ) they have just brought in a helmet which was very Sachin and for £30 you can not go wrong, it was light and well made

The shop had a nice little voucher in the local paper which was a nice touch when it came to paying  :)
The pads where £50 without the voucher and also got a Puma Calibre thigh pad which was not pad for the price
Could have brought a few bats but I restrained myself  :-[
Overall it was a nice trip got what I wanted and may have something special in the pipeline  8) watch this space

Will update after i go for a net :)

They are like the CA pads that Dilshan wears. Very nice indeed.

I've used Merlin equipment before and I must say it's very high quality!

Am I right in saying that you went to Ace Sports?

I've got a few mates at uni that live locally to that, one of them knows the owner quite well. We always get out uni kit from there
