Hi All

Has anyone had any contact with one of these bats. In the market for one shortly, just wondering what they are like?

Cheers

Nick

I've had a look at a few at Owzat, they seem like nice sticks and I've been very impressed by most GM bats I've seen this year.

Best thing to do is go to a GM retailer and have a look yourself.

I use a 707 GM+ from last year.  I must say, I've been very happy with it.  Even though its a large chunk of wood (2.13 on the scale), its got a very nice balance and with the higher middle gives it a nice pickup.  I would definitely go the same route again when looking for a similar size bat.

For me, being based in the U.S., I had to buy one without the benefit of being able to see and feel it in person due to cricket shops being pretty much non-existent in my country, but I would say its probably the tops in my favorite lists.

At the same time, I agree with the others. If you can, check them out and pick up a few yourself.

A team mate has a 2.14 Icon 808+ and it's huge. Without repeating others' clichés, it really does pick up lighter than the dead weight!

I think with the mid range GMs you really have to get out to a retailer and look at individual bats. I've seen crackers at 707/808 but at the same time I've seen some that were far less impressive. Bit of a lottery if you buy sight unseen.
