24 in 1,2 and 3's. 35 balls for his boundaries. what was he doing with the other 70 odd balls! i call that slow lol :D

the T20 knock was something else watchin that live on TV, hes a top lad as well, he spent the winter in NZ i think with wellington ???

He has been injured of late. He has played some games on his way back for his club side (Colchester) and played a few 2's games for Essex.
Someone has told me he has trimmed down a bit this year to try and combat his back problems.
People also forget, he can bowl 90mph+

I saw Napier bowling live in Wellington 2 years ago and was surprised by how quick he was.
He also wasnt too tall but quite stocky. The Basin Reserve is one of the prettiest grounds by far.

Because he's not good enough, consistent enough, or fit enough. Other than that, I'd say he was a good bet.

Good call, but then I'd rather see someone like Bopara get an extended run perhaps or bring Woakes back in. If Napier was 10 years younger, he'd be a 'one to watch', now he's a 'never filled his potential'.
