We have a Bristol and District Cup T20 midweek which most teams enter. f you lose in the early rounds you get put in to the plate. So there is potentially a few games of T20.

Well I played in some sort of mid-week T-20 cup yesterday, out captain lost it for us...

In the previous round me and and another guy opened and scored 36 off the first 6, both of us getting out for 16. This round, I am put down to number 5 and he is put down to number 8.

Our captain decided he was best to open and after 10 overs we were on about 20, he took most of the strike for the entire time he was in, and finally when he left in the 15th over he had scored about 20 and we were on 40 ish.  I came in, scored 9, including lots of quick running and eventually got run out when we were really pushing. Me and the tail eventually got us to 89 off our 20 overs, and I'm still not sure how we even got that...

They got it very easily and we are now out...Good work skip  :o

Played last night against Bristol Pakistanis. We batted first and got 167 for 7. I got a quick fire 21 with a couple of straight sixes. They ended on 120-6. We majorly out played them and it was a great win against a team a division higher.

Lost tonight for the first time in our midweek league. We started badly and were 27-4 off 6 but recovered to 150-9. The oppo who played 8 divisions higher did it for 5 down with 9 balls left. We didn't bowl very well but it was a respectable effort and with a bit more luck mid innings we might of sneaked another win. Still top I think :-)

Funniest sight was Simmy skying a cover drive, only to see the waiting catcher turn his back on it and run away due to the suns glare lol!

Didn't play, but our t20 side conceded 224-5 and lost by 100 odd. Their safer overseas and other opener both hit 100. Unbelievable hitting and we didn't get close. Their overseas was only young as well, certainly one for the future. Louis kraucamp lol, remember the name. Would have got closer if I had played(!) Lol.

We played Ilminster mate and they were deecent! Chard isn't huge but it's not particularly small either. Lots of sixes lol. My old team being Ilton? I didn't realise they had a sunday team. If Roo Mason plays then look out for him cos he's sharp and very tall. Des Price might open up and he's a bit skiddy with a decent slower ball. Other than that, you should be alright mate, I expect they will play a relatively young 1st/2nd mix and their 2nds are quite a way down the league structure (Div 10SE, Shrubbery cricket league). And if you're playing at the Childs Clarke ground mate you can spit for six from the wicket lol. Let me know how you get on :D
