Cool to see some discussion earlier in this thread about one of my bats ! :-

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=745593934
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=655396863

(different ads for the same bat which I placed on our TradeMe website here in NZ).

No takers so I decided to keep it :)

I've also had a GN500 (Powerline version), a DF Magnum (beautiful), GM Maxi Autograph (heavy), GN Viper Players etc. Was very tempted recently to buy this SS Jumbo :-

Kinda wish I had now at that price, but I bought an SP Master Flatback instead which I'm just as happy to have, see the St Peter bats thread :-

Cheers!

Yip, am in Tauranga. Played for Tauranga Boys' College 1st XI in 83/84, then just socially Greerton Reserves in 1990's and Cadets Reserves 2012/13 at the ripe old age of 46yrs. An allrounder - much better bowler than a batsman, with late outswing and the occasional off-cutter. Best figures in 12/13 were 4/40 off ten overs against Mount Reserves :)

Wow small world. I played for TBC 1st Xl 1999-2002. I currently teach there in the Geography dept with Rob Leslie.
Played for Te Puke last two seasons and now going to be player/coach Greerton this coming season.

Hi everyone. New on the forum and hopefully I will be posting more stuff soon. I'll start off with this ancient bat that I got from someone. Can't see the bat makers name anywhere. Looks like Kashmir because I can't see the grains very well

Lovely old bat. That's the type I really like. Does anyone want to sell their old bats? I'm probably on the wrong page as 90% would be lovers of the old bats and couldn't let them go. I'm in Australia which wouldn't help the cost of shipping but I love getting an old bat with all it's stickers intact and bringing them back to life.

I'm in Sydney. Postage would not be an issue!

Anyone have any info on this bat, I just found it under the stairs, I'm guessing it's my father's from when he played.

I had one of those County Colts, my first proper bat, size 4, probably got it in around 1983. They were the company who went bust and hunts county appeared in their stead I think.

Well PM me with what you have and how much you want for them. I'm always collecting old bats. This goes for anyone else in Australia too. Or people overseas if they are willing to give me a real bargain.

Yip Rob knows me well. We had a great day of Old Boys cricket down at Matapihi last Summer - would be good to have another this year!
