Was chatting at the weekend during our game as I play alongside an ex county player who's now part of county staff and a current county player about helmets. During the conversation it cropped up that the county in question had asked players to stop wearing a certain well known brand helmet as they felt they weren't up to scratch in terms of first class protection. Thought this would be interesting for a few on here given that Ayrtek are amongst most topics on here!

Neil Carter had a little trip to hospital after a bouncer in the T20 friday. Not wearing an ayrtek either.

Best way of using a helmet imo is to not use it at all. Don't get hit and you won't get hurt

This came up a while ago, I THINK it was Warks/Derbs that said they would not let masuri be used.

I am not facing 80 every week so I am sure it will be OK. And there may be a reason Broad is using an Albion, just as there must be a reason that Sanga is not using his Ayrtek
