Shots look good! Pads look a little too big in the one shot it looks like its dragging across the floor? Is that how you like them to be? I know some people prefer it like that.

Pads are just a standard men's. I'm 6ft so not big at all.  I just wear them low on the foot

nice set up and looking relaxed at the crease.

As a keeper, not over impressed with the opposition stumper, not presenting a big catching area in his stance and hands drifting apart after the ball has been released...but he may still catch everything which is what matters at the end of the day (I've been coached to within an inch of my life and now have a decent keeping technique but still managed to drop a relatively straightforward edge standing up on Saturday!)

Not too far away, I play for Ambleside in the Westmorland Cricket League, second team these days but still enjoying it.  I've played at both Kendal and Netherfield's grounds in the past though, much prefer the wicket at Netherfield!  Did you used to play for Kendal?

No mate I'm in the NE but moving to Kendal in Sept for my teacher training so looking for a club!

Please come and join us at Ambleside!    We are in Division 1 of the Westmorland Cricket League and in need of another quality batter.  We also have a beautiful ground which has won Wisden awards in the past and it's a friendly club too.  As Ambleside is relatively small, we have quite a few players who play for us from the Kendal area. 

The standard in our Division 1 is better than Northern League Division 2, but below Northern League Division 1, which is the league that Kendal and Netherfield play in.  There would also be a lot less travelling if you played in the Westmorland Cricket League.

Do you have any spare weekends before September to come and check us out?

If you're looking for a good setup then look no further than netherfield cc. Fantastic batting track, great ground and overall a well run club!

Rain beat us in the end and we never got on the pitch. Had the groundsman cutting multiple pitches but all were too wet. Another thunderstorm put things beyond doubt.
