Perfect Storm
« on: June 15, 2011, 11:50:07 AM »

Wanting to say a big thank you to Mr Mike Brimble.

Took delivery of this beauty last wednesday.  Few emails to discuss bats, Mike was extremely helpful and having put the money in paypal monday night, Mike was brilliant in getting bat ready so I could take delivery couple of days later.

The bat.

2lb 7 and a half oz fully naked - probs about 2.9 - 2.10 with scuff sheet, grip etc.  10 straight grains.  Lovely profile and edges for the weight - approx 33mm.  Started knocking in and it's going to be an absolute belter.

Nice fluffy rug as well.

In comparison with my old Sali(x)

Once again, many many thanks Mike

I originally contacted Mike to see if he had anything similar to a Mjolnir.  Talked a bit in terms of my preferences, style of batting and he sent me some details of bats he thought might work for me.  Narrowed it all down to choice of three bats - I was attracted to this one.

Huge for it's weight, nice to look at and it didn't cost £400. Must be a miracle worker, that there Mike.

Lovely bat there mate! I hope you score loads of runs with it. ;)
I have also just taken receipt of a Talisman bat. I think that it might be a sister to your bat, great finsihing, also about 2'9 with the same shape and edge size. Would like to thank Mike as well for his prompt response and great service in getting the bat sent over to South Africa.
