Hey guys, made a real (No Swearing Please) of remicing a cheap antiscuff from a bat and it's taken a pretty deep slither of wood out of the face of the bat. Am i best just to leave it, to sand it lightly so it's not such a sharp edge of to sand it alot so that it flattens out the face of the bat again. The gouge is probably 3-4mm deep and the same across.

Sand it down, always best to remove it across the grain from edge to edge. Can always heat it up using hairdryer as it loosens the glue

I removed it across the grain but was in too much of a hurry, stupid thing to do, but too late for worrying about that now.

i lernt the hardway as most of us done looks bad but just get orbital out and sand it down will look good as new

Don't have one here so it'll need to be done by sand. while I'm on the subject what grades of sandpaper do people usually use for sanding bats as I'll need to go buy some today.

you will never get 3-4mm deep by doing it by hand unless ur planing of having no fingers left and a few hours of your life wasted lol

depends what i am doing..

a full bat referbe with surface cracks and some deep marks ill use 120 400 600 then scotch bright.

if i am removing a full fiber sheet that melts and goes everywhere and is a pain in ass ill use 80grit stuff and go to town on it. i am sure people will tell me im using stuff to rough etc

I wasn't planning on taking it right down, just smoothing it out a little so it wasn't quite so ugly and noticable.
