Pondering a new bit of wood...
« on: June 21, 2011, 09:25:35 AM »

Right then, am on the look out for a new stick. Got £170 to spend, would like it along the same lines as my Hattori (I may well ask Matt to copy what he has done already for me) but wondering what else is out there. I am not sure he can do what he did before as that size was a lucky cleft...

Looking around the 2.8 'dressed' mark, low middle etc

Have been eyeing the Redbacks as well, spoke to MB but nothing back from him for a while, although I know he has had a nightmare recently. What do we reckon chaps?

I have a lorry load of bats in your exact spec on the way from MB should you choose one or maybe even 2.

You will also have a choice of dressings :)

This one isn't as good/bad as the others haha. I could ask around if you want mate. Could probably get you a top Kippax within budget if you want to try something different? Wavex handle as well if I asked nicely :)

Kippax would be a good bet, saw a 2'5oz bat with 20 grains not so long ago. They also had some fairly meaty 2'7/8 bats with a lowish middle.

Just having a look now - I hate choosing bats - can't see the Kippax profiles though

Was considering an SS from Asad as well as they have the profile I am after

Saw my first redback in the flesh on saturday, looked a real nice bat and it got quite alot of runs against us lol I fancy trying one but none of the profies really do anything for me....

I'm staying part of the 'one bat club' for the time being though, very happy with my H4L, think i'd struggle to beat it. Will definatly go back to matt in the future too.

Thought of trying a hawk mate? you seem to like there gear....
