Your grip set up
«
on:
June 25, 2011, 11:29:30 AM »
Ive been using 2 grips on a bat for ages, but my new seems to have a slightly thicker handle so I am thinking about going down to 1 grip. Ive been playing about with it, and it actually feels brilliant with one grip, but not sure what I should do about it. Has anyone chaned set up and has it effected you?

i'm always chopping and changing based on what mood i'm in and what feels nice. Had 2 grips for the last 3 years and then out of the blue it felt too thick this year, so i've changed to 1

cut a grip in half and put this at the bottom and then another grip on top. works good for me on an oval handle.

I am using half an octopus under a chevron - works quite nicely and have started to play less bottom hand

In an attempt to make an ovalish handle I cut handle length strips from an old grip 2-3 cm's wide and taped them onto the front and back of my handle with an octopus grip over this. It isn't an ideal oval handle but it's better than spending 30 odd quid on a handle change.
