6 6's in an over
« on: June 27, 2011, 04:01:31 PM »

http://www.wetherbycricketleague.co.uk/results.php?js=2&week=92

St Chads Broomfield 201 all out (0)

Barwick in Elmet 202-3 (6) Nick Swales 65* Gary Bettison 56* (inc 6 sixes in 1 over)

Barwick in Elmet won by 7 wickets

Bit surprised as Div 1 Wetherby isn't a bad standard, however, it's at St Chads postage stamp of a ground:-

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=st+chads&hl=en&ll=53.827607,-1.584279&spn=0.000818,0.002642&sll=53.827607,-1.584279&sspn=0.000818,0.002642&t=h&radius=0.06&z=19

It's just over the road from us and pretty tiny!

Interesting to note that unlike the lad who took all 10 wickets in a cup game, this one hasn't yet made it into the news items. Might be because the guy running the website now is a Chads member  ;)

I took 36 off an over the first time I used my saf... needless to say I was pretty pleased with the purchase as a result!

can't remember which deliveries were no balls, but yes, 6x6, 1x4 plus 2 no balls. It was the first over back from a rain break too
