I have a H4L, probably the best investment I've made on this forum. Done a review in the H4L section, check it out

You can have a custom made in any model, but if the spec make the bat a LE, then its only avaliable in LE.

For example you cant order a 'Premium' custom made with 15 perfectly strait grains, no blemishes, from the lightest of the light wood with 50mm edges at a deadweight of 2-7 with 2 grips and scuff.

Explains it then. My main spec was the mid-high middle as a mid middle doesnt suite me, otherwise I would have probably ordered a Redback.

Having used both brands there is a huge difference. I believe Redback produce more traditional shapes with better pick up (in my opinion) whereas H4L produce stunningly large profiled bats with huge concaving. More like Asian profiles, but with with far superior craftmanship. There's my 2 cents.

To be fair, either one you choose you won't be disappointed. Have a look at your older bats and the shapes you have gone for.

easy, get one of each - a more traditional shape from Gary and a monster from H4L and live happily every after - I mean it will only be a bit more than buying a single GN legend...
