All this chat about end of season deals and sales got me all excitied yesterday, so I decided to do some research. Looked at my journey home and to my delight I foud that there was a SD shop in Newbury Retail Park, a mere 5 minutes out of my way!! It had to be worth the slight detour with all these Oblivions and other temptations with a tiny price tag attached!!
So I eagerly drove to the retail park and spotted the shop quickly. Found a parking space almost outside - that must be a sign.....they knew I was coming and had a handful of Oblivion powerhouse bats and a few Evo carbos and Slaz bats lined up for me to buy.....obviously!!!
I strolled in and a helpful young lady kindly took me upstairs (it's been a while since that has happened!
)
And tucked away at the far side was the cricket gear, right in between the larger section of hockey and footy!
And me being me, looked straight at the bats! The collection there reminded me of ebay - several bats mainly being Kashmir Willow! The pick of the bunch was a Kookaburra Kahuna 150
My shoulders slumped and I felt an overwhelming sense of disappointment!
I even looked at the softs....oh dear! No better!!
So my quest to find a reasonably priced Oblivion continues!
Hope everyone else finds a better selection that I did.
