I bought this off the CricketBats.com classified ads, for a mere £95 posted, nothing compared with what some people pay these days for a handmade bat. The bat was 2lb 10, nearer 2,11 when I originally bought it, and the middle slightly lower, but I had this altered to suit my style more. It is truly gorgeous, so much so that it became my first choice bat, beating a Salix Fera Grade One.
After the first few nets, I was impressed, but thought it was on a par with my Salix. Only with the very first game of the season did I realise how good this bat really is, with my first 50 ever.
Since then, the bat has got better and better, and, despite people saying "what's the matter with the back" due to the knot, some even saying that it will soon split off, I refuse to believe them, it's just so good.
Gary Day's customer service was second to none, emailing me asking if I was satisfied with it as it was, even though it was bought via auction. He's kept in touch since, and I've been so impressed with it I can't see myself going anywhere else for my next bat, and even persuaded my brother to get one, as you may have seen.
I really love this bat, and hope I can get my first ton with it some time this season, as I already have two fifties (should have been more, but that's my fault!) I highly recommend Redback to anyone looking for a new bat, or even a spare or net, as Gary will be able to offer you some outstanding deals.

Apologies for poor pic quality.
