any pads advice

Hi im 6ft2 what size pads shall i get and is there any paticullar brands that are good to start out with ???

Mens size, and whatever you can afford. Don't take this the wrong way but if you have £70 to spend on a bat and a pair of pads, then you aren't going to be looking at Newbery SPS or GM original etc. What is your budget?

im not on a budget but i was just looking for good advice i was told by a friend that i need oversize mens but i wanted know if he was right or not

Find some, try them on. Most manufacturers differ so it's pointless looking for sizing advice cos what fits for one won't fit for others. Do you have long calves, wide calves? It's all a bit personal so just go to a shop and try some on.

at 6ft 2, i wouldnt of thought you need OSM pads as some people in my team are massive and wear standard mens as they dont want them too bulky, and a few have mentioned OSM are harder to run in due to being slightly bigger

I'm 6'4" and wear standard mens size pads, because I find that OSM are too inhibitive. I prefer to be able to move and take the risk of getting hit more often to be honest.

It's a pretty simple game nick, far to many players use way too much protection when batting.  I've always played the game without a lid , thigh pad , inner thigh pad , chest guards , arm guards etc etc. I always trusted my Lekka floppy hat when batting and my SAP hat when bowling.

I'm a bawhair under 6'2 and have always found men's pads big enough, in some cases even too big.OSM were too bulky,plus you're more likely to get out LBW

I never mentioned leaving out the box :)  I got hit once on the head from a beamer from 18 yards so I started to wear a hat after that. Never looked back since.

Im 6.3, i tend to go for osm.
Kooks are ok in osm, gm tend to be a bit bigger, so you might get away wiyh normal. Look at other people and try and work out the makes sizing

I use kook osm, I'm 6“4 and they're the best fitting pads I've had.
