xxxxxxxx your an educated chap what bat do you use and why? I use a SAF GENUS bat

~ How good is the ping? pretty goddamn special - I lent on an on the up drive through extra cover) last week and "nobodymoved" it was awesome. FpontE standard edges - massive spine height though.

~ More importantly what does it weigh and what size edges does it have? 2lbs 12 (fully dressed - maybe a bit more as I have an extra half grip plus antiscuff and tape.

~ Finally, why makes it good? the offset edges which make it pick up so well and the number of runs I have scored with it.

(is that enough brown nosing??? ;) - all true though 8) )

xxxxxxxx your an educated chap what bat do you use and why? Salix Vantage circa 2000

~ How good is the ping? I don't think anyone actually knows what ping is. However whatever it is, it seems to be directly proportional to how hard a bat owner is trying to justify his latest purchase.

~ More importantly what does it weigh and what size edges does it have? I think it is 2'8. At no point during it's use have I ever queried the edge thickness, hence I have no idea.

~ Finally, why makes it good? Because it comes from an innocent age. Because it was made at a time when a bat was measured not by edge size or spine height, number of grains or concaving. Because what it is is a wonderful piece of craftsmanship made by a genius. The days before we had offset edges and secondary drying processes. The days when you didn't have to have 30 grains to have a good bat.

Andrew makes a nice bat!

Ping is the co-efficent of restitution and can be measured on any bat.....

I would ask your bat maker to make you bat based on an older style and he'll say no for 2  reasons.1: the machine is not set up to shape those bats anymore 2: the newer style bats are better

I use a kookaburra Kahuna 1000 my Mrs bought me for my birthday last year!!! I have only one bat as my others have all been loaned and stolen from me and you know who you are who stole my original Puma Gilchrist bat!!!!!!

Ping + OK

Weight 2.12 but balance is a little strange and edge around 30mm at the widest point.

Its an OK bat but i think they pressed it so hard its taking a little time to get some life into it!!!

2-10 with 5 grips and mid sized

- What bat do you use and why? M and H S6 because it was the right weight, length and middle position. Not to mention it cane highly Reccomended by Tim and at a bargain price.

~ How good is the ping? Feels amazing though haven't used it in a game yet..... still knocking it in due to seam marks during first net session.

~ More importantly what does it weigh and what size edges does it have? it was meant to be 2: 12 but is closer to 2: 15 and haven't added the extras yet. Edges look pretty big.

~ Finally, why makes it good? Cheap and custom made to my specs but without the hassle on my part lol.
