slight dilemma

imnot sure on rules so i was wondering if anyone on here knew....
i turned 18 late of april i have been asked to play a 17 and unders game, they are claiming its okay to play due to being 17 at the start of the season??
i was just wondering if anyone knew for sure?

No, it's not. At least in our leagues it's based on school year ages, so you'd be year 13, and to play under 17's it's year 12 and below

Our junior leagues used to operate a age at a certain point. Normally your age at the end of august the year before. So I u were 17 at that time ur ok. Check ur league
