Custom Warsop
« on: July 19, 2011, 01:15:53 PM »

Picked up this of a teammate who bought it last week swapped it for one of my kahuna's :P (not a bad swap in my eyes)

he asked for a traditional shape between M&H solution/S6 and a warsop superior (both he previously owned and took in for tony to try and replicatate, comes with newbery thruxton labels on (i swapped for a pair of spikes)

weighs 2lb 9oz

oval handle

very tradtional english profile no concaving and hardly any bow

one for you old boys ;)

pictures to come tomorrow or thurs when i can get round to picking it up!

not sure what i will do with it yet!

I'd take a wild guess and say it will end up for sale on here.

gutted!, looks like my pedigree chum doesnt want to swap the warsop for my kahuna anymore!

however he will be deciding whether or not he wants to sell it in the next few days depending how much his insurance premium goes up after a accident on the way to our last league game ha!

however i picked it up from the club tonight

let me know what you guys think in regards to the shape and how well tony has done getting it inbewtween a S6 and superior!

9 Grains

Grade 1

2lb 7 (2lb 8 with grip & stickers)

think he paid £190 for it (got £25 knocked off as he bought all new keeping gear! + £10 for not having it stickered even though to get new stickers on its £25!!)

i personally think its a lovely bat just not my cup of tea with regards to the profile im more of a asian bat profile lover! oh well each to their own

Aidy, we complain all the time about people putting bats up with their title as one thing when the bat is something else, e.g. your Newbery "Thruxtons". I know you've put a subtitle up that says what they really are, but I think you shouldn't really have advertised them as Thruxtons, because they simply aren't. The title should be "Newbery Thruxton Stickered Bat", or something similar, as it's rather disingenuous otherwise.

thats totally fair enough mate i dont want to be like that seller on ebay who sells loads of bats, however just want to add i dont want to trick anyone into thinking its a newbery either hence the subtitle and description, i will bear that in mind next time and wont put that in the title

thanks for the advice :)

You say that but you also state in the title that it's a "£330 RRP" bat, yet in the description it's down as £225. That makes it look like you're going for the sale more than the truth mate... Same with the Spyder bat as well.
