What a moment for the kid, fair play to him.

Can't see him having to buy himself too many pints for a while

Pretty poor stuff from India yet again. Good toss to win and England have done brilliantly.
Was gutted as I nipped out of work to watch the first hour and Sehwag batting but he was gone first ball. :(

Brilliant day out at Edgbaston with my club!! The new developments at the ground look awesome and not a bad days' play to go with it.

Even met Graeme Hick!

I heard Strauss got bowled off a no-ball from Mishra.. ??? - Not a happy man if he did...

Why a leg-spinner is bowling loads of no-balls is beyond me. It's village  :o

Been watching pretty much all day on Sky player at work! Cook has shown great temperament. Hope he bats out the rest of the day. Pieterson is looking in decent nick as well, can't wait for Prior to come in, pretty sure he will have freedom to play however he wants!

Situation is tailor made for Prior, but Morgan and Bopara will be able to come to the week with a lot less pressure on too.

Do we reckon England can double their score from here?

if the forecast is ok for the next 3 days and I was flower, I would be telling all the batters to bat as long as possible. End of the 3rd Day at least, if not to lunch on the 4th Day. I dread to think what England might score by Saturday evening - 700?. Anyway, firstly it wins the series by making the game safe and secondly India will have to survive on a deck that should be getting worse. If India bat 5 sessions to secure a draw then they'll deserve it.

This is ridiculous, India are being smart but incredibly frustrating and poor for the spectators that have paid money to go, the umpires are also not making themselves look good, this is also going to make it harder for Cook to get to his triple hundred

Blame the test match ground that has no working lights and a scoreboard that doesnt work.
Its a damm shame for the spectators as they are the ones who pay top dollar and shouldnt be shortchanged.

As a club cricketer I find it bizarre that bad light can stop play at 14.30 in August!

Its not Dhoni but the umpires call to suspend play due to bad light. Moreover, blame the aministartion at E'baston who dont have a electrician at hand for recftifying the fault.

MS is well withing his rights to get any bowler on.

Same would have been the call if India were batting and AS wanted to get Broad or any of his fast bowlers on.

Prior should come in above Bopara and unleash the guns on them, loving how we are ruining them, but I'm going to fall asleep soon
