My Catalyst Original L.E
« on: May 25, 2008, 07:30:18 PM »

Intro
I brought this bat in VKS, Ealing. I went there with some friends to have a look around and spend some money which I had recieved for my birthday. They shop is pretty small but had lots and lots of cricket equipment at the back. I began to look through the bats and was drawn towards the GMs. I picked up a few 808s but they were all to heavy for me so I decided to have a look at the L.Es and well I found a real gem of a bat.

Price
Ok it was alot of money and yes I know I could of got this and that etc. but this bat just felt made for me. I payed £260 for it but I believe it was worth it.

Looks
The bat has 14 straight grains and came with Gm Now. Has a small blemish near the toe.

Performance
I took the bat to the nets the next day and wow. This bat pinged. All my shots just seemed to go with minimal effort. Also I felt I could play all the strokes as it was nice and light (2'6) whereas my bat before was a hefty 2'10. Yet to really see performance in a game as I batted rather awfully the other night.

Overall
Great invesment. Its light, it pings, it looks amazing. Has a great pick up and well what more could you want !

Another gm that loks good seen a lot of them recently. Still seems a lot of money to pay for me but i'm sure the performance of the bat will be worth it.

seems to have one HULK sized spine/profile. good stuff
I guess being an LE, its probably less dense, so lighter in weight

Looks great but i wouldn't expect anything less at £260  :o

I'd personally rather have a c6+ model or a custom and still save some cash.
