maybe a code to say what bats are which before stickering

my theory for my kookaburra (stamps F 7) is that its made by SG who also make for different companys so the stamp on mine states what brand it is going to?

Often it can be a batch code or the month it was made. The models are often written on the handle, that's what I've found in the past anyway.
