As a neutral I don't think England are head and shoulders above the Saffers right now so they would be worthy number 1 but still the competition would be very tight. I think its still pretty close between the two. I think South Africa have the only World Class Pace bowler in the world right now. Jimmy Anderson is pretty good but anyone averaging above 30 in tests in my book is not World Class (same goes for Zaheer Khan). Batting is pretty much even. England do have better bowling depth and the best spinner.

When do England and South Africa play next?

England are always favorites to win at home, but away, sometimes, just sometimes, i have my doubts.

Trying to make out Johnson is better than Anderson is like trying to say starving to death is better than eating something that isnt that tasty, its pointless, a lie and wrong. At the moment England are better than Australia its undeniable just give up.
