I thought it was interesting as it might be an indication that Redback are trying to get a piece of the main stream market, as well as the die hard bat freaks (meant as a term of endearment). If the company could devlop both sides it may well be a clever bit of business.

I agree mate, always good to see the 'smaller' brands getting their gear into the mainstream shops and retailers. I am sure we will see the likes of Redback, H4L, Saf and Ayrtek being sold everywhere soon enough. You just hope that as demand goes up, quality remains the same!

Most items are cheaper on here than rrp, although admittedly you don't get the personal service if you go to the companies direct.

An interesting point that you make Simmy. From what has been said on this topic, would people purchase those bats from you, or go to the manufacturers direct? Maybe if they could come in to an old fashioned shop (with doors and windows!!) and pick the products up, then they they might. But the common theme on here means that no one would purchase them via mail/internet. This means more overheads etc.
