Gray-Nicholls Evo Pro Performance

Just wondering if anyone else has one of these as I'm currently knocking one in but the vibrations coming up through the handle is very noticeable compared to my newbery uzi and salix rogue...
Is this normal for the GN as it's my first bat of this make?
I do have a number of grips but even with the original pyramid and an aero grip on top it's still noticeable..

I have just got a GN Legend and have been tapping up - no real vibration and massively high on the Ping-o-meter!! My captain swears by GN and has a carbo handled evo but no real vibration on that bat either (although he does rate the slightly older profile powerbow as a better bat!)

Thanks Pete.. I've been wondering if the willow is a bit dry under the original protective sheet (not sure quite when it was first made as bought it off a young man on ebay and on the other hand not sure what effect drier wood would make), so just taken it off, sanded off the glue residue and applied a generous coat of bat wax. Will leave it 24 hours and add another coat before resuming knocking it in. The edges already sound and feel good as does the middle with approx 75 mins worth of knocking so i'm hoping with say 2 hours more it'll be just right. 
Another thing.. when I took it to nets it felt good off the rubber balls from the bowling machine but when I moved onto varying ages and states of cricket balls, it felt and sounded the opposite.. terrible...
If anyone else has some views please let me know...

Kid at our club has a size 6 Evo PP and in all honesty, unless you hit the middle it's a waste of time. It is so unforgiving that if the kid, or anyone else misstimes one the vibrations are astonishing. Out of the middle it's as good as any other bat out there but for a 15/16 year old kid. Not good.

yh ,i had two last season, one was a gun, the other did not have a middle, the ball went furthur off of the handle of this thing.

Thanks for the replies.. i've spent at least 2-3 hours knocking it in further especially above the middle (which is huge and feels great). Less vibrations than before but still too noticeable compared to my other bats. Toe sounds and feels fine.
Actually the edges sound and feel superb.. probably best of any bat i've knocked in probably because of the size of them..massive!!
It's a shame as it's a beauty but i've decided to sell it on, as it'd make a 3rd bat replacement for me so wouldn't see much action.
Just goes to show proper handmade bats are the way to go.. in my humble opinion..

Have you approached GN or the retailer to complain about the vibration? Worth doing that rather than selling a not great bat on?

Dealing with GNs direct would be a slight issue as i'm back in Prague... bought off a young man who had it bought for him 5 months previous by his parents as a present somewhere Cornwall way. I had one net session a few weeks ago where it felt great with rubber balls from a machine and completely the opposite with cricket balls but i don't think it was knocked in enough and/or very dry or too hard pressed as mentioned by a forum member...so hence the refurb by me and it feels/sounds better further up the bat from the sweetspot.

Initially i started this thread just to find out if others who own this £300+ bat had had the same experiences, which from the responses seem hit and miss, either fantastic or a dud, which is a quality control issue in itself!

I'm not selling it onto a team-mate with the intention of misleading him; i've spent a lot of time caring and knocking it in with a view to keeping it, but i'd rather see it being used than hanging around my cupboard as a 3rd bat.

However if the GN forum rep would like to step in and make a suggestion regarding how to possibly remedy such a bat then i'm all ears....
