Help needed: anyone tried Albion C&D Centurion batting pads??
« on: August 24, 2011, 04:57:39 PM »

Am looking at the traditional style batting pad labelled 'Test Class' by most retailers. The price suggests otherwise. Anybody tried em?

They were pretty good a few years back, but I don't think Albion bought out any new batting gear since then which was probably 3 or 4 years ago. So could be the same pad's from a few years ago hence why they are cheap (I assume that's what you are thinking)

Thanks Langs.
Could you verify if they were well made, light and had a wide calf protection wing at all?
Cheers.

We have a few in stock ... they are pretty good in my opinion, even though they are an old model now, they kind of hug your legs and are not too bulky ... and BTW the words come from Albion :)

Matching gloves available too

Am sure we could do a forum member deal on these.

I've seen your stock up on a popular auction site and did consider it except for a lower price elsewhere. If you'd PM me the lowest you could go for a Right Handed Mens' pad and perhaps save me on postage, I'd be more than happy to entertain the option.
cheerio

ps. could you name a comparable GM pad so i know what weight and quality we're in for? Also, how wide is the calf wing exactly (that would be the farthest segment of the pad on the exposed side)? thanks.

I would say they are equivalent to a 909 or even Original (in an older model), but the style of these is different to the GM pads. Will PM you.
