I fully agree there should be more flexibility but the icc say half hour grace end of so nothing ecb or lords can do

Inflexibility.

In this case I can understand it because it looked like the rain was set in, but why is the rule today so different from how it was the other night when they played late into the night? As ever there seems to be a destinct lack of common sense and flexibility. Surely a result is better than a tie.

Now being suggested by the Indian fans that the umpires and England conspired to prevent India winning by going off when England faced an IMPOSSIBLE 10 off 7. :D :D :D

Very few people actually pay face value for a ticket, search Gumtree, Ebay or ask a tout at the ground and you would be surprised. Lords and Oval have the highest prices for ODI and Tests and are always sold out months in advance. Ive paid £100 for the Oval Test directly from the Oval and £88 from Lords and I was lucky. There is no cricket ground in the world that charges these prices and still sell out so that must tell you something.

Eng played to the d-l score the information was on the scoreboard, so both teams had the information.

on ticket prices the probably were.between 55 and 80 depending where you were sitting. free for full and playing members as it is part of the annual fee.

i was at the Oval Friday with 2 Indian mates and we all paid just under £60.00 per ticket 5 rows from the pitch at the side.W

sorry i was at the Oval friday and it was a fantastic atmosphere,aside from 2 blokes getting chucked out by the police for fighting it was a great day,ticket were just under 60 quid each and we paid 100 for 1 day of the test match at Lords.
Spent double that in alcohol thou.
The Indian fans were amazing it's a shame their board and their players have let them down this summer.Next time they might realise 1 warm up match in our conditions won't be enough.And even Strauss played in that game to get some practice.

If you buy from a tout/third Party on the day, prices are hi. If you buy direct from Lord's you don't pay a stupid amount (although I'd agree it's too much). when I went to the Lord's Test v India, I paid £75 per ticket, 4 rows from the grass in the grandstand at Square Leg. Ok, it's a fair amount, but it was worth it!

India have to be careful, they might end up winning this one.

I don't get D/L either. How can trimming 10 overs off result in needing 30 less when their run rate was 6+

@Colesy, normally the side batting second get the advantage of D/L, I think it's quite good that the side which bat first get an advantage for once.
